Federal Budget & Resources
The federal budget sets the year’s tax-policy direction — bracket adjustments, new credits, changes to registered accounts, and changes to programs like CPP and OAS. We publish a plain-language summary of each budget here as soon as the relevant figures clear our review process.
How to use this page
The headline numbers — brackets, BPA, CPP/EI maximums, RRSP and TFSA limits — are republished on the dedicated rate pages and used by our calculator. This page focuses on policy changes that don’t fit neatly into a rate table: new credits, structural changes, transitional rules.
